The Blessed Virgin herself designed this medal, showing it in a vision to Saint Catherine Labouré in Paris, 1830, with the intention for her to spread devotion to the medal across the globe. Sacramentals, such as the Miraculous Medal, help us as Catholics receive and cooperate with God’s grace.
